These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by JIJ Web Solutions ("JIJ," "we," "us," or "our"), including web hosting, cPanel/WHM provisioning, domain services, development, support, SMS notifications, ownership transfer services, and the client portal located at jijweb.com. By creating an account, purchasing services, or using our platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
JIJ provides web hosting infrastructure (shared, VPS, and managed plans), cPanel/WHM account provisioning, domain registration and DNS management through partner registrars, website development and custom systems, ongoing maintenance and support, ownership transfer facilitation between developers and clients, and SMS account notifications.
Service availability, features, and specifications may change over time. We will communicate material changes affecting active accounts with reasonable notice.
2. Accounts and Access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep it updated.
JIJ may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, remain unpaid, engage in abuse, or create risk for our infrastructure, other clients, or third parties. Where practical, we will notify you before suspension.
3. Billing and Payment
Hosting and recurring services are billed according to your selected plan (monthly or annual). Payments are processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize JIJ to charge your payment method for applicable fees.
Invoices are due upon issuance unless otherwise agreed. Accounts more than 10 days past due may be suspended. Accounts more than 30 days past due may be terminated and data may be removed. Reinstatement may be subject to a fee.
All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as explicitly stated in a separate written agreement. Domain registrations and transfers are non-refundable once submitted to the registrar.
4. SMS Notifications
By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS notifications through our platform, you agree to receive text messages from JIJ Web Solutions regarding account activity, ownership transfers, billing events, and service updates.
Message frequency varies based on account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. JIJ is not responsible for fees charged by your mobile carrier.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use JIJ services for any purpose that is unlawful, abusive, or harmful, including but not limited to: hosting malware, phishing pages, spam infrastructure, or illegal content; sending unsolicited bulk email or SMS; violating intellectual property rights; conducting denial-of-service attacks; excessive resource consumption that degrades shared infrastructure; or any activity that violates applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension without notice.
6. Ownership Transfers
JIJ facilitates the transfer of website ownership between developers and clients as a neutral party. The ownership transfer agreement is between the Transferor and Transferee. JIJ's role is that of Facilitator only. JIJ is not liable for disputes between the transferring parties regarding content, business obligations, or agreements predating the transfer.
All transfers require electronic signature by both parties and final approval by JIJ Web Solutions before taking effect.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content, code, and data associated with your account and website. By using our services, you grant JIJ a limited license to store, back up, and serve your content for the purpose of providing services. JIJ retains ownership of the platform, systems, and infrastructure.
8. Uptime and Service Levels
JIJ works to provide reliable hosting infrastructure, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Availability may be affected by scheduled maintenance, hardware failure, upstream providers, DNS propagation, client-side code issues, third-party services, or events beyond our control. JIJ is not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
9. Data and Backups
JIJ may perform routine backups as part of infrastructure management. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own independent copies of important data. JIJ is not liable for data loss regardless of cause. We recommend all clients maintain regular off-site backups.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JIJ's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or our services is limited to the amount you paid to JIJ in the 30 days preceding the claim. JIJ is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JIJ Web Solutions, its owners, agents, and partners from any claim, liability, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of our services, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA (Linn County jurisdiction). Where applicable, Illinois (5 ILCS 175) and Missouri (RSMo Chapter 432) electronic transaction statutes apply. Disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in Iowa, unless otherwise required by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active account holders of material changes via email. Continued use of services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
